Hey, Mama! I’m so glad you’re here. Before going much further, I wanted to give you an idea of what you can expect on the Mamahood Postpartum Care website.
If you haven’t seen my About page yet, I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor for Mamas; this means I work with women who are currently pregnant and looking to get prepared for their postpartum journey, as well as women who are currently living their postpartum life. My goal is to help women understand what their body will go through and what it needs during their postpartum journey. I want to empower and support Mamas in making informed choices and decisions for their postpartum mental health.
I started Mamahood Postpartum Care after becoming a mother myself. I became very interested in the mental health challenges that new mothers face and decided that I wanted to dedicate my practice to supporting these women, which is why I offer individual prenatal and postpartum counselling sessions. If you’d like to learn more about my counselling practice, you can click on Services in the main menu to see all the details.
In addition to counselling services, I have started a Resources page to list all the reputable community resources that I think prenatal and postpartum women would find helpful. This includes anything from pelvic floor therapists to government run programs for Mamas.
Next we have the Blog. This is a place where Mamas can find helpful mental and physical health tips through articles published weekly. The Blog and Resources pages are a work in progress so they will be constantly updated as I have new information.
And the last component of the website is the Shop page. This is where I have compiled all the products and books that I have found most helpful in my mamahood journey so far. I will be adding to this page regularly and if you have recommendations, I’d love to hear them. This page does contain affiliate links so I may earn a small commission if you do choose to purchase one of my favourite products.
I have lots of other exciting plans for Mamahood Postpartum Care, but for now, I hope you enjoy looking through the website and following along on social media.
