Counselling for Moms Who Need Support
Motherhood is a journey full of love, joy, and incredible moments – but it can also feel overwhelming, isolating, and stressful. As a counsellor, I specialize in supporting moms through the unique challenges that come with pregnancy, postpartum, and everyday motherhood. My goal is to help you find relief, feel understood, and gain the tools you need to manage your mental health with confidence.
How I Can Help
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, or feeling overstimulated by the demands of motherhood, I offer a safe space for you to talk, process, and heal.
Together, we’ll work through the emotions and struggles you’re facing, so you can regain control over how you feel and manage life’s challenges with less overwhelm.
You don’t have to navigate these moments alone. I’m here to provide:
- Personalized Counselling: Each mom’s experience is unique. We’ll tailor sessions to your specific needs, whether you’re dealing with prenatal anxiety, postpartum overwhelm, or ongoing stress.
- Practical Strategies: You’ll learn coping tools that fit into your daily routine. These tools are designed to reduce stress and anxiety, helping you regulate your nervous system and manage overstimulation in the moment.
- Ongoing Support: This isn’t just about quick fixes—it’s about creating lasting change. We’ll work on strategies that grow with you, empowering you to handle both immediate stress and long-term well-being.
Issues I Can Help With
I focus on these areas where moms most commonly struggle, including:
- Anxiety: Whether it’s related to pregnancy, postpartum, or general life as a mom, anxiety can feel all-consuming. Together, we’ll work on reducing your anxious thoughts and creating a plan to help you manage triggers in real-time.
- Overstimulation: The constant noise, touch, and demands can leave you feeling frazzled and disconnected. I’ll help you identify what’s overstimulating you and teach you how to calm your nervous system when the world feels too loud.
- Postpartum Adjustments: The transition into motherhood can be overwhelming. I support new moms in managing the emotional, mental, and physical shifts that come with postpartum life, helping you feel more grounded and less overwhelmed.
- Stress & Burnout: Motherhood is demanding, and the pressure to be “perfect” can lead to burnout. I’ll help you break the cycle of stress and create boundaries that allow you to care for yourself as well as your family.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Motherhood is tough, but you don’t have to face it without support. Together, we’ll work to lighten the mental load, so you can show up for yourself and your family with more peace and confidence.

FAQ
How much do your sessions cost and will my insurance cover them?
Great question. I charge $170 per 50 minute session. Each session is to be paid for at the beginning of the session and you will receive an email receipt with all the information you will need for insurance reimbursement. While credit cards are required to have on file to book sessions, my preferred method of payment is Interac e-transfer. (But we can talk all about this in our first session!)
As for whether your insurance will cover the cost, this is something you would need to double check with them before we begin. Most insurance companies that cover the cost of a Psychologist are able to cover the cost of a Registered Clinical Counsellor (me!). I'm happy to chat more about this and make sure we have it all sorted before beginning our work together.
Yes, I do! I’m deeply committed to understanding the unique mental health challenges that come with motherhood, which is why I’ve pursued additional training in maternal mental health. This specialized training has equipped me with a deeper understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges that Mamas face, from postpartum adjustments to balancing identity shifts and everything in between. My goal is to offer support tailored specifically to the needs of mothers, providing a safe space to explore these experiences and navigate them with compassion and care.Do you have training in maternal mental health?
Some people find weekly sessions helpful, while others prefer to meet once a month. Don’t worry, though—we’ll discuss what feels best for you during our first session and create a plan that aligns with your needs and goals. How often should I see you?
I’m currently available for sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. At this time, I don’t have a waitlist, so you can book an appointment as soon as you’re ready! Feel free to check my calendar for the next available time that works for you. What is your availability?
You can either browse my calendar here to find the next available appointment that fits your schedule or reach out through the contact form if you have any questions before booking your first session. I’m happy to help! How do I book a session?
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that our first session is all about getting to know each other. It’s a space for you to share what’s bringing you here, what’s been on your heart, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your story, and together, we’ll explore what support looks like for you. By the end of our session, we’ll have a plan — whether that’s setting some initial goals, identifying areas to focus on, or simply creating a space where you feel heard and validated. There’s no pressure, no rush—just a conversation to help us figure out the best path forward for you. What will the first session be like?
